In the second quarter of 2025, the leading communication apps in Latin America demonstrated varied performance patterns across downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

WhatsApp Messenger showed a strong upward trend in weekly downloads, peaking at 1.9M in early June. Revenue fluctuated throughout the quarter, with the highest point reaching $55 in late April. The app maintained a stable base of active users, hovering around 456M.

WhatsApp Business experienced consistent revenue growth, culminating in $130K by the end of June. Weekly downloads peaked at over 1M in early June, while active users saw a slight increase, ending the quarter at approximately 107M.

Telegram recorded a steady rise in revenue, reaching nearly $197K at the quarter's close. Downloads remained robust, with a slight uptick towards the end of June at about 1.2M. However, active users witnessed a gradual decline, settling at 111M.

Messenger saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at over 822K mid-May. Revenue varied, peaking at $372 in early April. Active users slightly declined, ending the quarter at around 129M.

Snapchat showed growth in weekly downloads, reaching over 729K by the end of June. Revenue peaked at approximately $30K in late June, while active users increased steadily, reaching about 29.4M.
